Mission
Impact is an immersive 10-month program, running from September through June, for mid- to senior-level managers focusing on the issues and industries that are part of our region’s DNA.
Impact includes a half-day retreat and monthly, full-day workshops featuring unique access to a variety of top community leaders who educate participants on what makes San Diego tick, the industries that power us, and the issues we face.
Class of 2024 Graduation
Get a taste of what Impact is all about by attending the Class of 2024 graduation and project showcase on June 6. You’ll also learn about the community work accomplished through the Leadership Action Team projects.
Why Impact?
In addition to providing a comprehensive foundation for greater civic and community engagement, Impact participants significantly grow their own personal networks by establishing long-term relationships with like-minded individuals.
Participants grow their personal leadership skills and get hands-on experience through the Leadership Action Teams, which partner teams of class members with local nonprofit organizations for projects that benefit the community.
Over the course of the Impact session, program participants will hear from leaders on the following topics, among others:
- LEADing the San Diego Region & Our Regional Economy
- Arts, Culture & Tourism
- Education
- Philanthropy & the Nonprofit Sector
- Growth & Environment
- Military & Defense
- Public Health & Safety
- Housing & Homelessness
- Our Cross-Border Region
- Graduation & Leadership Action Team Presentations
