Membership Levels

Gold

Gold membership is appropriate for mid to large organizations with over 50 employees. Gold members are actively involved in all Chamber events and programs while contributing to the Chamber’s pro-business policy. Senior managers receive exclusive invitations to connect with fellow business leaders and government officials.

Silver

Designed for small businesses with 15-50 employees who want to actively support a business-friendly San Diego. Includes advocacy at the local, state, federal, and binational levels, plus unique opportunities to raise awareness for your organization through events and communications.

Bronze

Bronze memberships are for micro-businesses with 1 to 15 employees looking to support pro-business policies. Membership includes expanded opportunities to meet other micro-business leaders, plus Chamber discount programs.

Sole Proprietor

Perfect for the sole proprietor, who has no employees, who owns an unincorporated business by themselves, or the individual with no company or business affiliation, looking to connect to San Diego’s business community and build credibility.

Committee Participation Eligibility

The Chamber’s policy committees are at the heart of our political advocacy. Each month, committee participants hear emerging issues directly from key stakeholders, business leaders and government officials and determine the Chamber’s stance on policy priorities. In addition to advancing San Diego’s business landscape on a policy level, committees are a great opportunity for members to actively collaborate with business leaders in their industry.

How to Get Involved: Committee participation is available to all members. To get involved, visit the Policy Committee website to get an in-depth review of each committee category. After selecting the appropriate committee, contact the respective staff liaison to arrange your first meeting.

Legislative Alerts to Keep You Informed of Current Issues

Our job is to keep members informed of the latest policy updates that affect their business. Members of all levels have access to the Chamber’s policy newsletter in order to stay abreast of all domestic and international legislative updates.

Legislative Scorecard

Legislative scorecards are an essential tool for keeping voters informed about the candidates who are most committed to making San Diego a great place to do business. During election years, the Chamber distributes scorecards to its members, ranking candidates based on policy priorities and voting history.

Washington, D.C. Delegation Trip Eligibility

Each year, the Chamber sends a delegation trip to Washington, D.C. in order to advocate on behalf of federal policies that will improve the economic climate in our region. Delegation attendees include business leaders, elected officials and top representatives from regional business organizations.

Sacramento Delegation Trip Eligibility

The annual advocacy mission to Sacramento provides members an opportunity to promote the business-friendly legislation that will benefit our region’s economy. Attendees of this delegation include elected officials, industry professionals and regional business leaders.

Small Business Roundtable Participation

Small Business Roundtable’s occurs quarterly on the first Friday of each month at the SD Chamber Boardroom. This provides small business with the opportunity to review and provide input on pending legislation that affects small business. Small Business Roundtable is available to all members.

Public Policy Committee Eligibility

The Public Policy Committee is the governing head of all Chamber committees. Each month, our committee members meet to discuss the latest emerging issues and submit policy and legislative recommendations to the Chamber’s Board of Directors for final review.

Pro-Business Election Advice

The Chamber is committed to keeping its members informed about the policies and legislation which affect San Diego’s business landscape. Members at the Bronze-level and above are eligible to contact our Policy staff to receive industry-specific election advice tailored to fit their business needs.

Good Government Speaker Series

The Chamber’s Good Government Speaker Series (GGSS) is a collection of roundtable discussions designed to allow members to candidly engage with key government officials, policy makers and others on local, state, federal and international matters.

Our annual International Tribute Awards recognizes outstanding individuals and companies that have made a significant impact in the binational efforts bridging U.S. and Mexican economies.

Mexico City Delegation Trip Eligibility

Each year, the Chamber sends a delegation trip to Mexico City in order to engage with key elected officials and industry representatives to promote international commerce, foreign investment opportunities and policies which advance our binational region.

Cross-Border Introductions

Through their international advocacy efforts, the Chamber’s leadership team is connected to an extensive network of key government officials and business leaders from both sides of the border. Members at the Bronze-level and above are eligible to receive assistance with introductions that will help advance their business.

International Business Affairs Forums

Through the Forums, the Chamber provides business leaders the essential knowledge and resources needed to thrive within the binational marketplace. Meetings are held quarterly, and alternate between the San Diego Regional Chamber office and the Club de Empresarios in Tijuana.

Chamber Sponsorship of Cross-Border Meeting

Through its international advocacy efforts, the Chamber’s leadership team is connected to an extensive network of key government officials and business leaders from both sides of the border. Gold and Silver members receive direct Chamber support in arranging and participation in meetings with officials and business leaders in the California-Baja megaregion.

IBA Advisory Board

The Advisory Board for the International Business Affairs Department plays a vital role in advancing the policies and legislation that benefit our binational economy. Advisory Board members meet bimonthly to discuss emerging international issues and represent the Chamber at key meetings and events.

Business After Five Mixers

The Chamber’s Business After Five Mixers are San Diego’s premier business networking events, attracting between 250-300 industry professionals and business owners. Chamber members are invited to attend these mixers – 8 per year – and receive guest tickets according to their membership level.

Business Alliance Group

The Business Alliance Group (BAG) program is the Chamber’s premier lead generation and referral network. BAG members meet twice a month with 12-15 other professionals in non-competing industries and assist each other with professional development and business strategies.

Circle of Influence Receptions

These exclusive networking events take place twice per year at distinctive venues throughout San Diego and draw the top 25 percent of the Chamber’s membership base.

Our Chamber VIPs are invited to gather for a private champagne reception prior to each Circles event. Guest attendees for these receptions include elected officials, business leaders and the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

Ambassador Program

Chamber Ambassadors are the primary liaison to membership, ensuring that member needs, questions and concerns are heard and addressed by the Chamber. Being an Ambassador provides an excellent networking opportunity through active association with other volunteers as well as enhanced credibility among peers.

Community Events Listing

Have a grand opening, charity event or business seminar in the near future? Gain extra exposure for your event by posting it on the Chamber’s Community Calendar.

Submit Your Event: Visit the Community Calendar website and complete the necessary form to submit your event. Once reviewed and approved, your event will be posted to the calendar according to its date.

(Please Note: For maximum visibility, members are strongly encouraged to submit events at least 2 weeks ahead of the date.)

Ribbon Cutting/Ground Breaking Services

Increase the visibility of your grand opening event by getting the Chamber involved. We provide ribbon and giant scissors, send invitations to our Chamber Ambassadors, and post pictures of the event on our website and social media.
