Alexandra Berenter is the Director of Public Affairs at the Downtown San Diego Partnership, a nonprofit organization that supports redevelopment, stimulates business and economic growth, and advocates for improvements that enhance Downtown San Diego’s quality of life. Prior to joining the Partnership, Alexandra spent six years working as congressional staff in Washington, D.C., where she managed a diverse legislative portfolio and was responsible for the tracking, analysis, and drafting of federal legislation, and development of strategy to achieve successful policy outcomes. A native San Diegan, Alexandra is a member of the LEAD Advance Class of 2018, and serves as a board member of the Regional Task Force on the Homeless, an advisory board member of the San Diego County Taxpayers Association, and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Public Policy Committee.
