Cassandra serves the Cox Government Affairs team as the Director of Government Affairs for Federal and State matters. Prior to her time with Cox Communications she worked for San Diego City Councilmember Scott Sherman serving as Director of Budget and Infrastructure Policy, managing the Councilmember’s policy platforms and priorities.

Cassandra has extensive experience in local, state, and federal government. She has worked for Councilmember Sherman since he was first elected in 2012, a California State Senator, as well as a United States Congressman. Cassandra has worked in both policy and community affairs throughout the Southern California region with a focus in fostering bi-partisan partnerships to implement policy changes. 

Cassandra moved to San Diego to attend UC San Diego and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology as well as her Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma. Currently, Cassandra resides in the Crown Point community with her significant other and her Black Russian Terrier she affectionately named Monster. She is an active supporter of various arts organizations around San Diego and is passionate about making San Diego a world leader as a Smart City.
