Lic. Cecilia del Carmen Ortega Covarrubias, graduated from Foreign Trade and Customs by the Iberoamericana University of Northwest. Winner of the National Award as the best university student of the country in 1994 and received in Los Pinos by the President of Mexico Mr. Carlos Salinas de Gortari. With 23 years of professional practice, she has developed in the public sector as well as in the private sector, starting in the Border Customs of Tijuana like assistant of the Port Director; Founder in 1997 of the companies GRUPO IMEXPO and IMEXPO DIVISION, dedicated to foreign trade and to the sale of wholesale products in department stores nationwide. Co-founder of GRUPO EUSAGA and general manager of the group companies. General Director of Eusaga Logistica Internacional, Legal consultants in foreign trade and customs. In the academic field she has worked as professor since 2012 in various subjects; Director of the Foreign Trade Career and creator of the Career of Logistics Strategies and Global Supply that is currently taught in TBC University. Elected as a woman of the month of September of 2016 by the magazine Mujer Actual. During the year 2017 she has participated in several forums including the Cross-Border Business Forum organized by the San Diego Regional Chamber talking about NAFTA; the one organized by the magazine Business Connection with the subject: The treaty in the era of Trump What can we expect? As well as imparting the Foreign Trade Master’s Degree for IMMEX companies organized by INCOMEX. Creator of VoCEs de Comercio Exterior, an opinion program dedicated to the analysis of customs issues and Foreign Trade; Interviewed by the Estrategia Aduanera Magazine in the special edition of Baja California of 2018. She has taught Foreign Trade Courses for IMMEX companies organized by INCOMEX. Counselor of the Chamber of Commerce of Otay and member of the IBA (International Business Affairs) of the Regional Chamber of San Diego.
