Hojjat “Tom” Tamar

Hojjat “Tom” Tamar is the CEO and co-founder of the City Wide Group of Companies, Inc., where he oversees all department heads at its two subsidiaries, City Wide Protection Services, Inc. and City Wide Cleaning Services, Inc. He arrived in California in 2003 as legal refugee, where he took up work as a house keeper in a local San Diego Casino, working his way up the ladder and eventually starting his first business in 2006, followed by a second venture in 2008, leading finally to the first City Wide company in 2012. What started as a one-man-show grew to an entity that today employs over 150 people. Mr. Tamar is a member of multiple non-profit organizations including the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. He is a 2018 Public Leadership Institute graduate, currently a Chairman of the Board of Directors (CWGC), was recognized as the 2017 Service Provider of the Year (SDCAA), and has earned other accolades due to his active involvement with various committees and organizations. 2019 is Mr. Tamar’s first year as a member is SDRCC Board of Directors.
