As Economic Development & Policy Manager at the Partnership, Kalei supports the Economic Development and Public Policy teams’ efforts to work collaboratively with Downtown business owners to advocate for important local initiatives. Kalei (pronounced kuh-LAY, she’s Hawaiian!) is passionate about helping those in need in our community and is grateful for the opportunity to play a role in improving Downtown San Diego. Kalei received a collegiate scholarship to play softball and sand volleyball at Webber International University in Lake Wales, Florida, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. A California native, Kalei moved back to the West Coast after graduation and is currently living in La Jolla Shores. In her free time, she watches beautiful San Diego sunsets over the Pacific Ocean, practices yoga, and spends as much time as possible with her family and friends.
