Matthew is the founder and president of Southern Cross Property Consultants (SCPC) a construction management firm based in San Diego. Matthew holds a license as an Attorney in California and received his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law. Matthew is a California licensed Architect with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee. In addition to his work with SCPC, he maintains a boutique law practice at Boomhower Law, APC where he focuses on land-use and construction law and serves as outside counsel to a number of small businesses. Matthew currently serves on the San Diego Zoological Society Foundation’s Charitable Real Estate Committee, which advises the Foundation Board on the acceptance of real estate gifts. He is a Vice-Chair of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Infrastructure, Housing, & Land-use and Small Business Roundtable policy sub-committees. He also serves on the City of San Diego, Planning Department, Code Monitoring Team (CMT).
