San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce
Sara Kamiab is the Director of Political Affairs and Education and Workforce Development Policy at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. She develops and facilitates the Chamber Foundation’s leadership programs, runs the day to day operations for the Chamber PAC, and conducts policy analysis for the Chamber’s Education and Workforce Development Committee. Prior to joining the Chamber, she directed large-scale voter turnout operations as the Get Out The Vote Director for candidates including Mayor Kevin Faulconer and Councilmember Chris Cate. She also served as Campaign Manager for Councilmember Lorie Zapf, and most recently ran the Chamber PAC’s independent expenditure ground operations for the 2016 elections. Before getting involved in politics, Kamiab worked in the medical device industry as a Global Operations Specialist and managed supply chain logistics for Alphatec Spine’s international subsidiaries. In addition to her work, Kamiab enjoys volunteering in the community. For over two years, she has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Voices for Children, an organization providing support to foster youth in San Diego County. She also volunteers at the San Diego County Department of Animal Services. Kamiab is fluent in Japanese and Farsi. She received a B.S. in Global Supply Chain Management from CSU San Marcos.
