Coronavirus – Business Updates

A message from Chamber President & CEO Jerry Sanders:

During this unprecedented time, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce understands the urgent need for information and resources to make critical decisions regarding business operations and options for employees. We are in regular contact with our elected officials and partner organizations regarding the status of the disease locally and recommendations.  We will be updating the pages here with timely resources and information from our federal, state, and local officials and partner organizations. Please see the Helpful Resources box below for links to information by category.

In accordance with health and safety guidance, the Chamber team is working remotely. We are available to you during this time and you can find our team’s contact information here. As more businesses implement responses to diminish the risk of virus spreading and heighten awareness for employees, I encourage you to reach out with questions and concerns. Our Chamber team is here to help.

On December 3, 2020, Governor Newsom announced a regional stay-at-home order based on ICU bed capacity. If the available ICU capacity dips below 15%, those regions will be placed into a 3-week stay-at-home order that would begin within 48 hours of a region hitting the ICU threshold. We will continue to provide updates as necessary.
