COVID-19

A message from Chamber President & CEO Jerry Sanders:

During this unprecedented time, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce understands the urgent need for information and resources to make critical decisions regarding business operations and options for employees. We are in regular contact with our elected officials and partner organizations regarding the status of the disease locally and recommendations.  We will be updating the pages here with timely resources and information from our federal, state, and local officials and partner organizations. Please see the Helpful Resources box below for links to information by category.

In accordance with health and safety guidance, the Chamber team is working remotely. We are available to you during this time and you can find our team’s contact information here. As we navigate the many changes brought on by the pandemic, I encourage you to reach out with questions and concerns. Our Chamber team is here to help.

Updates

Updated CDC Mask Guidance – As of July 27, The CDC has recommended that in areas of substantial and high transmission, fully vaccinated people should wear masks in public indoor spaces. California businesses are now permitted to implement vaccine verification, allow self-attestation of vaccination status or require all patrons to wear masks. Create a digital vaccination verification: for UCSD patients, CLEAR Health Pass, & State of CA Vaccine Record.

Return to Work Guidance – The Chamber team has compiled a guide that includes practical information covering various scenarios to help employers plan. It also gives suggested language to avoid legal issues, and there is an FAQ section and reference chart outlining what employers can and cannot do. Click here for the guide.

County Hosting Mobile Vaccinations – The County of San Diego is increasing access to COVID-19 vaccines by working with partners and stakeholders to host no cost vaccination events. Learn more and submit a request to host a vaccination event here.
