Communicating Across Cultures

August 22 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Event Navigation

Today’s workforce is more diverse than ever before! Diversity at work has both many benefits and many challenges. Cultural competency begins and ends with knowing yourself and understanding how your own cultural values impact your perceptions of others, both on the job and in your personal life. You will have an opportunity to develop a personal cultural perception profile as a benchmark for reflection which is essential to learning and growth. Explore how individual values affect individual and group decisions and increase awareness of social influences on the formation of a team’s attitudes, beliefs, values, and perceptions.

Series One: Managing a Diverse Workforce

  • Beyond Generations – 5 High Impact Leadership Strategies that Create a Positive Workplace – June 20
  • Communicating Across Cultures – Build Bridges, Not Walls – August 22
  • The Pentagon Panel – 5 Generations, One Conversation – October 17
