Infrastructure & Connectivity – The Path to Global Competitiveness
Cali Baja is home of the largest concentration of population along the 2000 mile U.S.-Mexico border, a combined population of more than 7.1 million and a dynamic labor force of 3.8 million. Its strategic location provides access to North American markets and global markets in the Pacific Rim as well as to the emerging Latin American markets.
With an integrated supply chain worth over 2.5B, a binational community and tourist destination, Cali Baja relies on its connectivity to move people and goods by land, sea, and air. This connectivity is possible via the region’s three major international airports, two deep-sea commercial ports, rail connections, highways and six land ports of entry.
Our panel discussion will cover the transportation and infrastructure aspect of the goods movement including opportunities to further increase connectivity and boost our binational economy, and address the challenges of keeping up with a growing population and reducing our carbon footprint while remaining globally competitive.
