From international trade to the wall, the U.S. and Mexico relationship and our Cali-Baja region is at the forefront of the national political stage. With this has come a growing uncertainty for the future of our binational relationship. As a national model for productive and collaborative cross-border trade and commerce, it is critical that Cali-Baja leaders voice our support for the policies and projects that will continue to strengthen our cross-border communities.

The 13th Annual Binational Delegation to Mexico City provides an opportunity for participants to meet with key federal officials and diverse business industry leaders to discuss 2018’s major areas of focus: NAFTA, border infrastructure, environmental issues (Tijuana River Valley), immigration/workforce integration, and Mexico’s 2018 presidential election.

Delegates will also benefit from the opportunity to network and cultivate strong political and business relationships.

Deadlines & Important Dates

  • March 2 – Last day for early-bird pricing
  • March 30 – Last day for hotel cancellations, must cancel by 6:00 PM CST
  • March 30 – Last day to take advantage of discounted flights through Alaska Airlines
  • April 2 – Hotel room block closes at 3:00 PM PST
  • April 6 – Last day for regular pricing
  • April 10 – Pre-trip meeting for delegates at 10:30 AM
  • April 11 – Last day to submit an application for the trip

Participation Fee*

Please note: participation fee does not include hotel or airfare, or ground transportation.

CHAMBER MEMBER PARTICIPATION
– $1,700 per person (until March 2)Early Bird Price!
– $2,300 per person (March 3 – April 6)
– $1,300 for spouse/guest from the same company

NON-MEMBER PARTICIPATION
– $2,800 per person (until April 6)

ALL LATE APPLICATIONS
– $3,300 per person (April 7 – 11)

*Participation subject to application approval. Includes all meals, meetings, and receptions. Absolutely no applications accepted after April 11. Payment must be received prior to departure for the trip.

We have secured a special room rate of $265++ per night for standard rooms between April 15-April 18, 2018. Attendees must mention the group block  “San Diego Regional Chamber” or code JP239 when booking to receive the discounted rate.

Reservations can be made directly to the hotel’s reservations office at +52-55-5230-1818 or email this form to reservations.mex@fourseasons.com by Monday, April 2 at 3:00 PM PST.

After April 2, the hotel will confirm reservations subject to availability. Cancellations must be done directly to the hotel 15 days before the arrival date by 3:00 PM PST in order to avoid no-show charges.

FLIGHTS

For your planning purposes, most delegates arrive in the afternoon on Sunday, April 15, prior to the Welcome Reception at 7:00 PM. The trip will conclude around 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 18.

Our Transportation Sponsor, Alaska Airlines, is offering the following discounted roundtrip flights to a limited number of delegates:

Alaska Airlines offers the following nonstop daily schedule between San Diego and Mexico City:

– Departs SAN at 7:05 AM, arrives MEX at 12:50 PM (3h 45 m)
– Departs MEX at 7:25 PM, arrives SAN at 9:35 PM (4h 10m)

From Tijuana International Airport*:

Aeromexico offers nonstop flights between Tijuana and Mexico City.

*If departing from Tijuana, you’ll receive free roundtrip tickets for the Cross-Border Xpress (CBX): a new enclosed pedestrian skywalk bridge exclusively for Tijuana Airport passengers who cross the US/Mexico border as part of their trip.
