IMPORTANT UPDATE: EVENT CANCELLED
The coronavirus situation is a rapidly evolving global concern. After much careful consideration, and out of an abundance of caution, we have made the tough decision to cancel this Delegation Trip. While Mexico has relatively few reported cases of coronavirus, we must consider many employers’ desire to limit travel and our role in preventing the spread of this virus. We are exploring options for rescheduling the trip for later this year.
The Chamber will issue full refunds for trip registration fees. Participants will receive individual emails with refund confirmation.
The Four Seasons Hotel is honoring cancellations without fees. However, please cancel your room as soon as possible by calling +52-55-5230-1818.
As a community, it is important that we stay up to date on the status of coronavirus locally. The County of San Diego’s new website www.sandiegocounty.gov/coronavirus is a good resource, updated each weekday with real-time information on what is happening locally. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and CDC are also reliable sources for information and best practices on preparation for coronavirus impacts.
Why Attend?
In the last few months, we’ve seen significant progress on several of our region’s key priorities like USMCA, the new North American free-trade agreement, solutions to address pollution issues in Tijuana River Valley, and completion of landmark border infrastructure projects. Reaching these milestones is a testament to the power of our region’s longstanding commitment binational collaboration.
We need all the voices that make up our diverse and dynamic cross-border business community to make a strong, lasting impact. That message is most effective when we have a large, diverse representation of business and community leaders joining with us.
The 15th Annual Binational Delegation to Mexico City provides an opportunity for participants to meet with key federal officials and diverse business industry leaders to discuss 2020’s major areas of focus: border infrastructure, transboundary pollution impacting Tijuana River, immigration & workforce integration, and trade & economic opportunities.
Delegates will also benefit from the opportunity to network and cultivate strong political and business relationships.

After March 11, the hotel will confirm reservations subject to availability. Cancellations must be done directly to the hotel 15 days before the arrival date by 3:00 PM PST in order to avoid no-show charges.

Flights
For your planning purposes, most delegates arrive in the afternoon on Sunday, March 22, prior to the Welcome Reception at 7:00 PM. The trip will conclude around 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 25.
Attendees can receive complimentary round-trip tickets to access the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) and depart from Tijuana Airport. CBX is an enclosed pedestrian skywalk bridge exclusively for Tijuana Airport passengers who cross the U.S./Mexico border as part of their trip. To receive tickets, select this option on your application page.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations must be in writing and sent to ktran@sdchamber.org. Full refunds will be issued if canceled by midnight on March 15. If canceled between March 16 – 18, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded. No refunds will be given if cancellations are made after March 18.
