Engage

Mission

To train the next wave of female leaders for service on nonprofit and government boards and commissions.

Engage

With the goal of ensuring diverse and gender-balanced leadership at the helm of our region’s companies and organizations, Engage provides board-readiness training to women, subsequently helping address the current gender gap on corporate, nonprofit, and government boards and commissions across the San Diego region.

In partnership with All Our Talent: Women on Boards & Commissions, launched last year through the San Diego Regional Chamber Foundation, Engage participants will undergo comprehensive training from our region’s top experts and leaders.

Curriculum

Engage consists of eight half-day sessions beginning in May. Each of the sessions will include 3 hours of expert instruction. Curriculum topics include:

  • How to Navigate Culture & Male Dominance
  • Board Roles & Responsibilities
  • Orientation & Education
  • Government Board Service
  • Strategy & Planning
  • Executive Evaluation & Compensation
