This isn’t just another acupuncture company, but a company with a mission to make acupuncture more accessible while making a change in the community. It’s turning acupuncture into people’s first choice instead of their last resort. Patients are coming in for as many reasons as lack of sleep, back pain, neck pain, digestive problems, arthritis, weight loss and much more.
One of the biggest dilemmas acupuncturists have to deal with is the lack of coverage from insurance companies. Acupuncture Express’ solution was to make it more affordable through a membership based system. For the three women who own Acupuncture Express, this wasn’t enough. They wanted to make a difference in the San Diego community by leveraging their healing skills. In result, for every membership purchased an equivalent membership is donated to cancer patients going through chemotherapy.
Acupuncture can help ease the symptoms of chemotherapy such as nausea, dry mouth, pain, poor sleep, hot flashes, and ringing in the ears. Acupuncture also helps boost the immune system, reduces stress and gives an overall improved quality of life.
By making acupuncture more accessible to the busy working San Diegan and making a difference in the cancer community, Acupuncture Express is here to make a point (no pun intended). Currently, Acupuncture Express has a handful of memberships to give away and if you know anyone who is dealing with the hardship of cancer, please refer them to the Acupuncture Express office. Plans are in the works for a second clinic location, tentatively planned for North County and expected to be open by the end of the year.
