Delegation Trips

The Chamber leads three delegation trips that provide our members an opportunity to influence change at the state, national, and international legislative levels. The delegations range in size from 50 to 150 and include local elected officials, community and business leaders, and small business owners.

Mission to Washington D.C.

Join the largest binational delegation to Washington, D.C. to voice your business needs and collaborate with San Diego’s business leaders while meeting with the nation’s top legislators and policy officials. Attendees take the opportunity to:

  • Make invaluable connections with D.C.’s top officials and San Diego regional leaders
  • Participate in high-level meetings with U.S. administration officials and agencies, such as the Department of Labor, U.S. Customs & Border Protection, Department of State, Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Small Business Administration and many others
  • Gain access to our country’s top decision makers and advocate for local and regional issues important to San Diego

Annual Binational Delegation to Mexico City

This trip provides an opportunity for participants to meet with key federal officials, diverse business industry representatives and organizations to discuss international commerce, foreign investment opportunities and cultivate political and business relationships. Major policy areas include: trade facilitation, innovation, energy reform, global workforce training, tourism, and border infrastructure.

Leadership Delegation to Sacramento

Delegates will have the opportunity to meet local and state elected officials, and discuss regional issues with policymakers, including: healthcare issues, CEQA reform, energy and water issues, housing affordability, education, cross-border and infrastructure funding.

Good Government Speakers Series

The Good Government Series (GGS) is a collection of workshops designed to allow members to have candid discussions with key government officials about the policies that affect their business. The GGS provides members and guests an opportunity to engage political leaders in discussion on timely issues in an intimate setting.

Congressional Luncheon

The Chamber’s Congressional Luncheon is one of San Diego’s best opportunities to hear directly from the San Diego regional congressional delegation, and is one of the Chamber’s most popular events. Each Congress member provides a brief update followed by topical questions and answers.
