At the 16th Annual Visionary Awards on June 14, Chloe Gubbay was announced as the recipient of the 2018 Community Spotlight Award. Chloe, who founded the Teen Giving Club as a high school sophomore, is the youngest recipient of the Community Spotlight Award; she graduated from high school the day after the Visionary Awards. Chloe launched the Teen Giving Club to provide youth with the means to follow their passions and discover the rewards of volunteering. In fall of 2018, Chloe will attend Claremont McKenna College, which is respected as one of the nation’s top liberal arts colleges, on a Leadership Scholarship. Finalists for the annual Community Spotlight Award have all been recipients of the monthly 10News Leadership Award, presented in partnership with LEAD San Diego, during the past year.
