Congrats to member Panera Bread! Panera celebrated its newest bakery-cafe opening on Sunday, February 14th at 9025 Clairemont Mesa Blvd in San Diego. It even has a drive-thru!

The San Diego Tourism Authority has reached out with a special opportunity for Chamber members to add more content to their website, sandiego.org.

Site traffic is up nearly 100% in the past 30 days with increases in search activity related to hotels, outdoor activities, attractions and more.

At the beginning of March, the San Diego Tourism Authority launched an $8 million advertising campaign in key markets in California and Arizona, which will result in even more traffic to the site.

Members in the travel & hospitality sectors are encouraged to add offers and events to the website.

SDTA is requesting content related to the following specific holidays and campaigns:

  1. Seasonal and holiday offers and events for Spring, Easter, Mother’s Day, Cinco de Mayo and Memorial Day.
  2. Create Weekday offers – Valid through June 30 to support the SDTA’s campaign to drive more weekday business.
  3. Restaurant Week April 11-18 – submit your restaurant week offer to be featured on the SDRW page. If you haven’t done so yet, sign up for SDRW with the CRA.
  4. Help us send more referrals to your business and support our advocacy efforts by submitting your business demographic information in the ExtraNet. Directions attached.

The new facility is located in Vista, California. The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for this new facility will take place on Thursday, April 29. The facility is designed to increase best-in-class services to the area’s life sciences and pharmaceutical innovators and start-ups, with room to expand as demand grows.
