With pandemic-related hospitalizations and deaths declining in California, Governor Gavin Newsom recently announced that the COVID-19 State of Emergency would end on February 28. Throughout the pandemic, the Newsom administration made concerted efforts to ensure that Californians remained safe, including distributing PPE and securing and administering over 81 million vaccines.
