A federal appeals court in St. Louis agreed to a preliminary injunction halting President Biden’s Loan Forgiveness program in one of several cases challenging the debt relief plan.  

As a result, at this time, the Department of Education is no longer accepting applications. The administration is seeking to overturn those orders and will likely eventually end up in the Supreme Court.
