Member Spotlight – The Dog Society

The Dog Society, your neighborhood dog-friendly sports bar and pup paradise.

The Dog Society, San Diego’s only destination for dogs and their humans to watch sports or meet other pup-parents, is a one-of-a-kind jewel for the community. From boarding, daycare, grooming and training for pups, to an off-leash beer garden with over 35 TVs, The Dog Society is a veritable dog-focused paradise that sports fans love too.

Whether seeking somewhere for your pup to socialize and play while you’re at the office, or wanting a place to watch the big game, there’s truly something for everyone at The Dog Society. Full size shuffleboard, cornhole, putt-putt golf, a pool table and an outdoor beer garden are just a few family-friendly activities humans can enjoy. Want to throw your pup a party or host your hobby group? There is a private event room and beer garden available to rent for your next celebration or gathering.

The cafe offers bar bites and a full service coffee and espresso bar for the weekend mornings. The bar offers wine, seltzer, and a dozen local beers on tap. There are plenty of events hosted each week like “Weenie Wednesdays”, and every big game is on. Follow their Instagram @thedogsocietysd for cute dog pics or to see their next event, like the upcoming SANTA-PAWS Market on December 3rd.

The Dog Society is located at 6331 University Ave., and is open for daycare from 6am to 8pm every weekday, and for boarding 24/7. People are welcome Monday-Thursday, 12pm to 8pm, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 10pm, and Sunday 8am to 8pm. The Dog Society is a woman-owned business that supports our teachers, and veterans by offering these groups a 10 percent discount on all purchases and packages.
