At their May 2 meeting, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to hold a special election to fill the District 4 seat, formerly held by Nathan Fletcher.
The first round of voting will take place by August 15. If no candidate receives the majority of the vote, the seat will be up for the general election this November.
