To help strengthen relationships between San Diego and Ensenada, the Chamber recently hosted a business delegation from Ensenada. In partnership with Ensenada EDC, the delegation trip consisted of a press conference with Ensenada Interim Mayor Carlos Ibarra, Ensenada EDC President Mario Peregrina, and Chamber Vice President of International and Public Affairs Kenia Zamarripa.

The visit also included a meeting between Interim Mayor Ibarra and San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria to discuss ongoing partnerships between local governments and was followed by a business seminar and a networking lunch.

This effort successfully brought together leaders from various sectors such as energy, education, manufacturing, and logistics, who had the opportunity to discuss opportunities to enhance regional economic competitiveness and make the CaliBaja region the best place to live and work. Next steps include a second visit to Ensenada to visit port authorities and business stakeholders to further strengthen business and diplomatic ties between both cities.
