The County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the appointment of Ebony Shelton as the new Chief Administrative Officer on June 4. Shelton, a native San Diego, served the County for almost 30 years, most recently in a dual role as the County’s chief financial officer and as a Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing the departments in the County’s Finance and General Government group. Shelton, who started her new position on June 14, makes history as the first Afro-Latina to serve in this role.
Kenia Zamarripa, Vice President of International and Public Affairs for the Chamber, spoke in support of Shelton’s appointment. The Chamber looks forward to continuing to partner with the County to ensure our binational mega-region is the best place to live and work.
