The Chamber joined the World Trade Center’s trade mission to Japan alongside an incredible group of regional partners including Rep. Scott Peters, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), Tijuana EDC, Biocom, NASSCO, UC San Diego, San Diego State University, San Diego Tourism Authority, and many others. From Tokyo to Osaka, the delegation explored everything from life sciences and nuclear fusion to advanced manufacturing, urban development, and the future of commercialization. The agenda also connected us with Japanese business, government, academic, and investment leaders. Japan is already one of our most important investment partners, making these relationships especially valuable as we look toward the next generation of industries that will be come economic engines and create jobs in our region.

At the Chamber, we champion the business environment that helps investment stay, grow and succeed by advocating for business-friendly policies, efficient cross-border trade, and the infrastructure employers need to invest and expand with confidence. This mission is a great example of what we can accomplish when we promote our region together.
