With U.S. and Mexico’s approval of USMCA, the last step for the new trilateral agreement to move forward is Canada’s ratification. The trade deal was approved Friday by Canada’s House of Commons and the Senate in their final day in session before adjourning until April 20th due to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The agreement has one final step in Canada’s ratification process. Once ratified, a ninety day period to review regulations will occur before the agreement goes into effect.
