LEAD San Diego has announced its six nonprofit partner agencies for 2025. Members of LEAD’s IMPACT San Diego Class of 2025 will form teams to gain hands-on experience by working with these organizations to accomplish vital projects that will benefit the agencies and our community.
The Five Leadership Action Team Partner Agencies are:
San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum’s mission is to spark a love of learning so all children can discover their wildest dreams. Its vision is to be the leader in inventive early childhood education. The Museum’s hands-on educational exhibits and programs focus on science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and math (STREAM) for children up to age 10.
San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation supports the dedicated professional firefighters, lifeguards, and emergency medical responders of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. By empowering these brave individuals,San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation enhances the overall resilience and well-being of the San Diego community.
The San Diego Tourism Authority is a private, non-profit, mutual benefit corporation composed of approximately 1,000 member organizations, businesses, local governments, and individuals seeking a better community through the visitor industry. San Diego Tourism Authority members include tourism-related entities in such categories as lodging, dining, arts, attractions, shopping, and transportation, among others, as well as other companies indirectly involved in tourism.
Oncology And Kids is the childhood oncology organization that provides a voice, community, and sense of normalcy for children with cancer and their families who need to recover from the emotional toll of diagnoses and treatment.
Media Arts Center San Diego has been teaching media arts classes and workshops to youth for 17+ years–both in and outside the classroom—and has been serving the people of marginalized communities by using media as a tool for social change and artistic expression.
