Chamber Honored for Advocacy at State Level

The Chamber was honored to receive the President’s Circle Award earlier this month from the California Chamber of Commerce.

The Award is given annually to chambers throughout the state that are leaders in advocacy, engagement, and support for their local business communities. Chamber Business Programs Manager Jimena Villasenor-Martinez traveled to Sacramento to accept the award and represent the Chamber at CalChamber’s annual Business Outlook event.

Chamber staff continue strong state advocacy efforts as Chamber sponsored, co-sponsored, supported, and opposed bills move through their second houses in the State Legislature. Chamber sponsored AB 1834 (Patel), moved unanimously through the Senate Local Government Committee and will head to the Senate Floor for consideration next. We look forward to this important bill for mixed-use development continuing to move through the legislative process.
