Alison Phillips
Vice President, Engagement
Alison is Vice President, Engagement for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she is responsible for the strategy, tactics, and programs to create interest, demand, and recognition for the Chamber. In this role she oversees all communications, marketing, and events for the Chamber and assists with marcom and special events for LEAD San Diego, the Chamber’s professional development organization. Alison joined the Chamber as Communications Manager in 2014, and has worked alongside executive staff, board leadership, and partners to advance the organization’s mission of making the San Diego region the best place to live and work.
Alison’s background includes more than 15 years of experience in public relations, marketing, and events. Previously, Alison was the Communications and Special Events Manager for the San Diego County Bar Association, and an agency PR practitioner representing clients ranging from regional hospitality brands to national and international consumer products brands.
Alison is a proud 2018 graduate of LEAD San Diego’s Impact program and 2019 graduate of LEAD’s Advance program. She has also served as a Trustee on the Library Foundation SD Board, and Chair of the Foundation’s Marcom Committee. She is an alumna of the University of California at Santa Barbara (¡Olé!) where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications.
