Daniel Reeves

Downtown San Diego Partnership | Senior Vice President of Economic Development & Public Policy

Daniel Reeves joined the Downtown San Diego Partnership in April 2014 where he now holds the position of Senior Vice President, Economic Development and Public Policy. In this position, he leads the Partnership’s public policy initiatives and develops strategic partnerships with companies and organizations to foster economic progress downtown. Among many other things, Daniel works to ensure downtown offers companies the ability to be successful by advancing programs that resolve challenges such as parking and mobility, and the attraction and retention of talent. He leads the Partnership’s efforts to support and realize downtown’s large civic projects, works with the development community to support the entitlement process and navigate the City’s regulatory processes, and develops policy positions for the organization. He also focusses on ensuring Federal, State, and local decisions impacting downtown reflect the needs and wants of the downtown community. Daniel serves on the Downtown Parking Management Group, as an advisory member of the Regional Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee, and sits on the Board of San Diego Young Leaders and co-chairs its Philanthropy Subcommittee. He is an active, Full Member of the Urban Land Institute and is a 2018 inductee to Lambda Alpha International – San Diego Chapter. Daniel graduated from the University of San Diego in 2012 where he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) degree.
