King san “Sandy” Lien

King san “Sandy” Lien is the Economic Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Tijuana focusing on trade and energy issues. Sandy joined the State Department in 2006 and has served in Hong Kong, Beijing, Mumbai, and Washington DC. Prior to joining the State Department, Sandy was a commissioned senior bank examiner in the Department of Banking Supervision and Regulation at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston where she participated in and led on-site examinations of financial intuitions in the First District. Sandy holds a B.S. in Economics from Miami University of Ohio and an M.A. in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University. Sandy has also studied at the National University of Singapore where she did course work in the school of economics and public policy. Originally from Hong Kong and Taiwan, Sandy is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese and is conversationally proficient Spanish.
