SANDAG | Board of Directors Vice Chair

Steve Vaus was elected Mayor of Poway in 2014. Prior to becoming Mayor, he served as a Councilmember from 2012 until 2014, and was Chair of Poway’s Budget Review Committee from 2010 to 2012. In addition to serving as Mayor, Steve is Vice Chair of the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) Board of Directors. He also serves on the SANDAG Public Safety Committee. Steve is a Grammy Award winning recording artist and has won numerous Emmy Awards. He has produced artists including Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Kenny Loggins, The Commodores, Randy Travis and others. He is the founder and executive producer of Carols by Candlelight, an annual benefit Christmas concert celebrating its 29th anniversary in 2018.
