Walden Family Services
Teresa Stivers serves as the CEO of Walden Family Services, where she oversees administration, operations, marketing, and fundraising. Under Stivers’ leadership, Walden became one of the first California agencies to offer transitional housing and support services for youth remaining in foster care until age 21, and opened visiting centers where birth families receive training and coaching to increase the likelihood they will reunify with their children. Stivers also streamlined Walden’s operations to increase the percentage of funding directed toward services for children and families and expanded the fundraising department with a focus on closing the gap between the real cost of serving children and youth and expenses currently allowed through government child welfare contracts. In addition to serving as Chair of the Chamber's Education & Workforce committee, Stivers is Vice Chair of the San Diego CountyTaxpayers Association Quality of Life Subcommittee, Housing YOU Matters Executive Committee, and UCSD's Chancellor Community Advisory Board.
