The Trade Corridors Improvement Fund (TCIF) financially supports infrastructure improvements for trade corridors with a high volume of freight movement. Capacity and operational improvements increase the efficiency of movement along the state’s land ports of entry and seaports and, in turn, boost economic growth.
Last year, the Chamber sponsored SB 1228 which reestablished the TCIF. This year, the Chamber’s focus is allocation of state funds into this program. Currently, the proposed transportation bill includes an allocation of $300 million.
