Ranked in the top 50 general contractors in the country since 1997, DPR Construction is a national commercial contractor and construction manager with a passion for results. Whether a multi-million-dollar technical facility or a conference room renovation, we execute every project with relentless accountability. DPR exists to build great things – great buildings, great relationships, and great communities. One of the Vivid Descriptions for achieving our 2030 Mission is to “be as integral and indispensable to the communities we operate in as the Boys & Girls Clubs and The Red Cross.”

We implement this vision by supporting under-resourced communities through financial donations and skills-based volunteering focused on DPR’s areas of expertise: Facility Construction & Renovation; Career & Education Guidance for Youth; and Operational Support for Nonprofits. We recognize that as a technical builder, the most impactful resources we have are the professional skills of our employees. The organizations we partner with are carefully vetted and selected based on their missions and outcome metrics.

Through our collective efforts, in the past year, PR has led renovations of more than 20 community centers and 10 residences, taught 1,000+ youth about construction careers through workshops and mentoring, and served on the boards and committees of more than 25 partner organizations. Some of the nonprofits DPR works with in San Diego and nationwide include:

Another way DPR San Diego contributes to our community is through our annual charity cornhole tournament, where a charitable organization is chosen to receive the proceeds. At the 2017 event alone, we were able to raise $35,000 for the Autism Tree Project Foundation. Going on our 5th annual tournament, we are proud of the success these tournaments have had and we look forward to finding more ways to make DPR integral and indispensable to the San Diego community we love so much.
