President Trump Infrastructure Bill Unveiled

President Trump made public his ten year $1.5 trillion infrastructure proposal, indicating a change in direction that would more heavily rely on local funding for major infrastructure projects. The plan sets aside $200 billion in federal dollars, with a specific carve out of $20 billion for “transformative projects.” The remainder of the funds would then be divvied up based on how much of their own money local governments would be willing to provide. It is expected that the bill will undergo significant change during negotiations with Congress, but it is uncertain what those changes may be.
