On April 14, 2018 at 11 am Encanto Village celebrated their groundbreaking ceremony.
Encanto Village is located in the Community of Encanto, City of San Diego and will provide 65 beautiful apartment homes to individuals earning between 30 and 60 percent of the area median income with one home for the full-time on-site property manager. This stunning mixed-use, transit oriented development will bring high quality affordable housing and retail spaces to Encanto and the City of San Diego.
Eight of the apartment homes will be set aside for veterans and their families with programs and services provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Encanto Village will be designed for LEED certification and will feature Energy Star appliances and light fixtures and new high efficiency heat/air conditioning systems. Water conservation features will be incorporated to create a California native and naturalized plant landscape.
Amenities will include two resident gardens, stunning courtyards, an outdoor play area for children, laundry room, secure bicycle storage spaces, EV Charging spaces, real-time kiosks displaying arrival and departure times of the Encanto Trolley Station and a community room for events and on-site services, such as after-school activities and financial literacy classes.
