A recent study by the National Household Education Surveys Program found the child care supply across the United States is at an all-time low, especially among infants and toddlers. When families don’t have access to child care, they are unable to be productive in their work and, therefore, make less money, sacrifice career advancement opportunities, and end up being absent from work more often. Another study by Child Care Aware of America found that companies lose $4.4 billion annually because of child care related absenteeism alone. TOOTRiS is changing that.
TOOTRiS has begun pre-registering parents and child care providers for around-the-clock availability, as well as creating partnerships with regional corporations, local and state governments, associations, and military leaders to leverage TOOTRiS and solve the child care crisis. Over the coming months, we’ll expand the TOOTRiS early-stage program into general release across ten major cities, further scaling up the platform to support more families, child care providers and functionality; and, working alongside child care industry experts, center directors, and—most importantly—parents, TOOTRiS will ultimately become the real-time solution parents go-to for high-quality, anytime, anywhere child care services they can afford.
