2020 Policy Committee Offerings

To better reflect the growing list of policies the Chamber has been requested to consider, some committee names have been changed. Committees meet monthly unless specified otherwise.

Public Policy Committee: Addresses the most pressing issues facing San Diego, and approves positions taken at the various subcommittees.
Defense, Veterans & Military Affairs: Reinforces positive relationships between the business and military communities, with a special emphasis on the successful transition of our service members after active duty.
Transportation & Land Development (formerly Infrastructure, Housing & Land Use): Focuses on the major land use and planning decisions made throughout the region, with special attention paid to proposed developments, transportation plans, and housing affordability.
Health: Serves as an advisory to the larger business community with regard to healthcare policy, access to care, and cost of care issues at all levels of government.
Sustainability & Industry (formerly Energy & Water): Reviews regional environmental initiatives, with a focus on energy and water to create more vibrant communities, while weighing economic impacts.
Small Business Roundtable (quarterly meetings): Focuses on policies and programs that are designed to support the development and success of small businesses.
Education & Workforce Roundtable (quarterly meetings): Works in collaboration with employers and educational institutions to address opportunities and challenges within the regional talent pipeline
