Ribbon Cutting – Take The Bait Seafood Bar

Take the Bait Seafood Bar, a new restaurant offering a diverse menu of locally-caught seafood, salads, and flatbreads, opened on December 2 in the Convoy District. Local businesses and members of the community attended the grand opening and sampled some of Take the Bait’s signature menu items, including whole octopus, seafood towers, seafood boils and seafood-topped flatbreads. In addition to fresh seafood, Take The Bait also serves beers, wine, cocktails, micheladas, and various drink flights.

The Dog Society, your neighborhood dog-friendly sports bar and pup paradise.

The Dog Society, San Diego’s only destination for dogs and their humans to watch sports or meet other pup-parents, is a one-of-a-kind jewel for the community. From boarding, daycare, grooming and training for pups, to an off-leash beer garden with over 35 TVs, The Dog Society is a veritable dog-focused paradise that sports fans love too.

Whether seeking somewhere for your pup to socialize and play while you’re at the office, or wanting a place to watch the big game, there’s truly something for everyone at The Dog Society. Full size shuffleboard, cornhole, putt-putt golf, a pool table and an outdoor beer garden are just a few family-friendly activities humans can enjoy. Want to throw your pup a party or host your hobby group? There is a private event room and beer garden available to rent for your next celebration or gathering.

The cafe offers bar bites and a full service coffee and espresso bar for the weekend mornings. The bar offers wine, seltzer, and a dozen local beers on tap. The Dog Society is located at 6331 University Ave., and is open for daycare from 6am to 8pm every weekday, and for boarding 24/7. People are welcome Monday-Thursday, 12pm to 8pm, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 10pm, and Sunday 8am to 8pm.
