This month, the IPA team visited Tecate to further partnerships and strengthen our Cali-Baja region. The team started off the day meeting with Tecate Mayor Roman Cota, Councilmember Isaac Contreras, and members of the Tecate Business Council to discuss opportunities and challenges in the region. The Chamber used this opportunity to extend an invitation to join the Chamber’s annual binational delegation trip to Mexico City in October.

The meeting was followed by a tour of Chamber member Taylor Guitars where the team and Mayor Cota had the opportunity to learn about the manufacturing process, sustainability initiatives, and industry challenges. The team then toured AutoVacc Systems to learn about how this business builds to the regional and bilateral supply chains and the impact that trade wars has had to its manufacturing and delivery process. The Chamber looks to further advance regional priorities through these mutual collaborative efforts.
