The Chamber joined UC Berkeley, UCSD, Alianza Mexico and state authorities from California and Baja California, including California Energy Commissioner Andrew McAllister and Ensenada Mayor Claudia Agaton, for a Regional Sustainable Development Summit. The two-day series of workshops determined an action plan toward a clean energy transition incorporating industry and a binational vision. The Chamber has been part of this ongoing effort to secure an economically feasible transition to renewable energy and ZEV for the foreseeable future. Next steps include building a wider network of stakeholders and collaborators that bring in businesses and academic institutions as drivers of these efforts through local, state, and federal administration changes.
