Amber joined the Scripps Health family in January of 2014 and serves as senior director, government relations. Amber is responsible for educating elected officials and regulators on the unique issues facing Scripps Health in alignment with Scripps mission and corporate priorities. Amber represents Scripps with industry associations, public issue groups, and regional business, civic and community-based organizations. She also manages Scripps’ community relations program in coordination with corporate and marketing priorities. Prior to joining Scripps, Amber had been practicing public affairs and government relations in Southern California for 12 years, most recently with Sempra Energy Utilities. Amber has received accolades throughout the years including a 2010 Woman of Distinction Award from Assembly member Bill Emmerson of the 63rd Assembly District and one of Vista’s 40 under 40 in 2016. Currently, Amber serves in the following leadership roles: University Community Planning Group Member, Member of the Cal State San Marcos University Council, and Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce Board Member. Amber, her husband Alex and son Ty reside in San Marcos, CA.
