Erin Passons

Passons Consulting

Erin Passons is the President and Founder of Passons Consulting. She has spent her career helping business leaders, managers, and employees improve their performance and effectiveness through personal development workshops and coaching. Ms. Passons is an expert in training and coaching using the StrengthsFinder assessment, and she works with organizations to create a Strengths-based approach to performance, leadership development, and team building. Her goal is to help people do what they do best at work and in life.   Prior to launching her own consulting practice, Ms. Passons worked as a management consultant for Gallup, the research and consulting firm known for creating the StrengthsFinder assessment and for their work with global public opinion and workplace polling. During her tenure at Gallup, Ms. Passons worked with a variety of large companies to provide training and coaching in the areas of management effectiveness, leadership development, Strengths-based performance management, employee engagement, and talent-based hiring.   Ms. Passons has been the keynote speaker at several leadership conferences for her client organizations, and, in 2014, she was asked to speak at the College of Executive Coaching Conference on the topic of StrengthsFinder as a tool for coaching. She is a contributing author to the book Positive Psychology and Coaching: Applying Science to Executive and Personal Coaching. As a leading StrengthsFinder expert, she trains and coaches other coaches, consultants, and HR leaders on how to utilize the tool effectively in their own organizations, and has certified more than 400 coaches in the Strengths-based approach.   Ms. Passons earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California Santa Barbara and received her M.B.A. from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She is a certified Executive Coach and a certified MBTI practitioner. Ms. Passons is a member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and Organization Development Network (ODNet), and the founder of StrengthsNetwork San Diego, an association for StrengthsFinder professionals in Southern California.   Throughout her career, Ms. Passons has worked with hundreds of companies and organizations, both large and small, private and public sector. Her clients have included such Fortune 500 companies as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Toyota, Disney, eBay, PayPal, Qualcomm, and Genentech, as well as such government and nonprofit agencies as San Diego Housing Commission, SANDAG, County of San Bernardino, Federal Public Defenders, Planned Parenthood, and National University.
