Joe Ahn serves as Manager of State and Local Affairs for Northrop Grumman Corporation, a Fortune 500 company and a provider of global security solutions specializing in aerospace and defense, autonomous systems, cyber, C4ISR, logistics to civilian and government customers worldwide. Ahn advises the corporation on state and local issues related to business development, management operations and government affairs. Ahn has in-depth knowledge and experience developing public policy in the areas of environment, land use, taxes, labor and regulatory compliance. Prior to his current role, Ahn served as sector manager of government affairs for the company’s Aerospace Systems Sector, and managed public affairs programs in California, Florida, New York and other strategic sites around the nation. Before joining the company, Ahn served in positions of increasing responsibility in California’s public sector having worked as a gubernatorial appointee in the Trade and Commerce Agency, deputy chief of staff to the Board of Equalization, legislative aide to the Assembly Minority Ways and Means Committee, public affairs liaison to the LA County District Attorney, and chief deputy to LA Board of Education. Ahn received his MBA from Claremont Graduate University’s Drucker School of Management with Beta Gamma Sigma honors. Ahn also completed the Strategy Development Executive Program at University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and the Mediation Program at Pepperdine University Law School, and earned dual undergraduate degrees in Political Science and African American Ethnic Studies from California State University, Fullerton.
