Joe Ahn serves as Manager of Legislative Affairs-West Region for Northrop Grumman Corporation, a Fortune 500 company and a provider of global security solutions specializing in aerospace and defense, autonomous systems, cyber, C4ISR, logistics to civilian and government customers worldwide. Ahn advises the corporation on state and local public policy issues related to business development, management operations and government affairs. Prior to his current role, Ahn served as sector manager of public affairs for the company’s Aerospace Systems Sector, the largest operating sector in the company with 22,000 employees, where he managed public relations programs in California, Florida, New York and other strategic sites around the nation. Before joining the company, Ahn served in positions of increasing responsibility in California state and local government having worked as an gubernatorial appointee in the Trade and Commerce Agency, deputy chief of staff to the Vice Chair of the Board of Equalization, legislative aide to the Vice Chair of the Assembly Minority Ways and Means Committee, public affairs liaison to the LA County District Attorney, and chief policy deputy to LA Board of Education. Ahn received his MBA from Claremont Graduate University’s Drucker School of Management with Beta Gamma Sigma honors, and completed the Strategy Executive Program at University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, the Mediation Program at Pepperdine University Law School, and earned dual undergraduate degrees in Political Science and African American Ethnic Studies at California State University at Fullerton.
