Supervisor Greg Cox

Greg Cox has served as a San Diego County Supervisor representing District 1 since 1995. He began his public service career as a teacher in the Sweetwater Union High School District. He was elected to the Chula Vista City Council and later served two terms as Mayor of Chula Vista. Greg Cox is the only elected official in California to have been elected by his peers to serve as both the President of the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) and the President of the League of California Cities. Last year, he began serving as President of the National Association of Counties (NACo), representing 3,069 counties across the nation. Supervisor Cox previously served on the California Coastal Commission and has served on the Board of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority since 2010.
