Member Spotlight: KULR Technology

In an effort to champion the cause of responsible battery disposal, KULR Technology Group and Cirba Solutions are coming together to host a significant event – a battery drive on National Recycling Day, November 15th. This initiative, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of battery recycling, is pivotal in their mission to foster a sustainable global economy.

This collaborative event, to be held at KULR Technology (4863 Shawline Street St B San Diego CA 92111) from 10am-3pm on November 15th, emphasizes the pressing need for specialized recycling processes, underlining the hazards of improper battery disposal and its potential to contaminate the environment with hazardous materials like lead, cadmium, and mercury. By providing a convenient and free platform for community members to safely dispose of their old batteries, KULR and Cirba Solutions hope to showcase the significance of proper handling to prevent pollution and conserve valuable resources.

Why else is proper battery recycling important?

Battery recycling goes far beyond the obvious benefits of waste reduction. It actively contributes to the conservation of natural resources by reusing metals and minerals. This plays a pivotal role in curbing pollution by decreasing the necessity for collecting new, raw materials, thus saving energy spent on refining virgin materials and subsequently lowering greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global climate change.

By contributing to this movement of recycling batteries, you are not only safeguarding the environment for future generations but also actively participating in the creation of new, well-paying jobs within the recycling and manufacturing industries in the United States. The recycling process generates materials that can be reused in the production of new items, encouraging a circular economy and minimizing waste sent to landfills.

KULR Technology Group and Cirba Solutions invite you to join them on November 15th to make a difference. Stop by and drop off any old batteries you may have! By responsibly recycling your old batteries, you are not only contributing to a cleaner, safer environment but also actively participating in the global shift toward a sustainable economy. Let’s come together and take a definitive step towards a greener, more renewable future.
