Join us for the 24th Annual Father Joe’s Villages Thanksgiving Day 5K on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in beautiful San Diego! This beloved event, known as San Diego’s original and longest-standing Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot, is more than just a race; it’s a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community. Participants will enjoy a scenic 5K run while supporting Father Joe’s Villages, which provides nearly 1,000,000 meals annually to those in need.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a first-time participant, this event is the perfect way to kick off your Thanksgiving festivities. Event Day Experience :
Before the race, you may choose to enjoy a sunrise mass with your family or check out our Vendor Village. Head over to the start line by 7 to warm-up with music, dancing, and a special message from race VIPs!

After you finish the course, check-out our post-race festival. We’ll have live music and an awards ceremony on the main stage. There will be a kid’s area with fun activities and the chance to meet Santa and other characters. Racers 21+ can enjoy our donation-based beverage garden with local brews. Enjoy coffee trucks, a 360 photo booth, and local vendors.
