‘Tis the season! We look forward to having Chamber members, business, and community leaders for a holiday mixer at one of San Diego’s best rooftops! Located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, Lumi occupies the rooftop high above Huntress, a contemporary steakhouse, Lumi by Akira Back, lights up the night by combining traditional Japanese architecture with modern design elements and pops of color to create a vividly unique atmosphere. EnviroGreen is a woman-owned company that is both socially and environmentally responsible.

Louise Batchelor launched EnviroGreen Electronic Recycling on January 1, 2011. She was armed with a pickup truck and a goal to make $25 per day by recycling wires and cords received from shipping stores and cable providers. Louise contacted businesses daily to arrange pickup of their old electronics for free. She soon realized that the electronics given to her for” scrap” actually still worked! This revelation launched the second arm of EnviroGreen Resale/wholesale to the public. Now connecting with more buyers and resellers, EnviroGreen has an eBay store developed with over 500 items available to the public and parts for refurbishing and repairing of electronics.

EnviroGreen’s motto “Creating a Greener Tomorrow from Yesterday’s World” is also Louise’s and her team’s focus to up-cycle more than they recycle.

Their zero Landfill policy is a vow that nothing they collect goes into landfills or third-world countries. This has resulted in 70% of the items collected being repurposed and the rest properly recycled!

EnviroGreen has grown from one woman’s dream to employing over fourteen individuals and operating a 10,000 sqft. warehouse. They are succeeding in their mission: “Creating a Greener Tomorrow from Yesterday’s world.”

About Our Host

The Music Box venue features live music and entertainment weekly. This concert and event space opened up in 2015 and was previously a venue known as Anthology.
